Chihuly Garden and Glass is committed to welcoming all guests and helping people discover the Galleries in the best possible conditions. Consider planning your experience in advance with our hospitality team to ensure you have the best experience.

Before Your Visit

Tickets are available to purchase online ahead of your visit. We advise all guests to book tickets in advance online to save time upon arrival. Our guests with accessibility challenges and the person accompanying them are granted priority access at the reception area and Exhibition entrance. Note that the first hour of the day or after 5PM yields fewer crowds.

Arrival

Chihuly Garden and Glass is located adjacent to The Space Needle. Valet near our entrance is available for guest pick-up/drop-off; additional accessible parking options can be found on the Seattle Center website.

Guests arrive through the wide, ADA-compatible front doors. Walking aids are welcome, including walkers, canes, wheelchairs etc. There are a limited number of complimentary wheelchair rentals available at coat check on a first come, first serve basis. Lent equipment may not leave the premises.

A transcript of the complimentary audio guide is available on our website in English, Mandarin (simplified characters), Mandarin (traditional characters), Japanese, Spanish, and Korean; printed versions are available at the Admissions desk.

Transcripts of the short Gallery Talks and glassblowing demonstrations offered are available on our website; please ask a member of the Exhibitions team if you would like a printed copy. Benches are located throughout the Galleries, Garden, Glasshouse, and Theater.

The Galleries

Chihuly Garden and Glass is a single-floor exhibition space without stairs and the eight interior Galleries that have low lighting with spotlights. Mobility scooters are permitted in the Galleries, Garden, Glasshouse and Theater.

Garden

A paved path curves around the Glasshouse with access to ADA-compliant entrances and exits via wide doors that can open with the wave of a hand. The Garden has natural light during the day and is lit with low lights that spotlight the art in the evenings. Smooth concrete paths within the garden are lit with small lights.

Theater

Videos in the Theater are captioned in English. Low wooden benches are available for seating and the space has low lighting. The Theater space has capacity for 2-4 wheelchairs along the sides and back of the Theater.

Restrooms

There are restrooms available by the entrance to the Exhibition. Restroom facilities are equipped to accommodate guests with reduced mobility are available by the entrance to the Exhibition by coat check and in the hallway past the vestibule. To locate the restrooms, inquire with our Exhibitions Team.

Exit

There are exit points throughout the exhibition and an exit through the bookstore that is just past the Theater. If you need to exit the Exhibition quickly, our Exhibition Team can assist you in locating the nearest exit.
